So, since I have been on this natural thing for a while because of my business endeavors, I have been looking into natural products for a lot of other things that I use on my body. I’m always doing research, always looking at ingredients before I use them, and just staying aware of what I may be putting into my body. For those of you that doesn’t know, whatever you put onto your skin, your body absorbs it and goes into the blood stream. Then of course, filters out through the liver just like any other toxins that invades your body. The skin is the largest organ on your body and its function is for protection.
To get to the point, I was sitting on my grandma’s couch and I was thinking to myself how when your having sex and the guy is a wearing a condom, it is being inserted into the vagina. Then I got to thinking, besides latex what else are condoms made from. I found out that condoms are made from things that aren’t natural. When the word benzocaine and lidocaine popped up on my screen, I was immediately interested because when I go to get trigger point injections in my back, my doctor uses lidocaine as the numbing agency in my back muscles. Both lidocaine and benzocaine numb the nerves in the penis which reduces the stimulation and delays a man’s ejaculation.
Also, another chemical that condoms are made from that made me gasp a little was that they contain parabens. Parabens have been banned in Europe because it is said that they cause health problems. Parabens are used to preserve products and to prevent bacteria growth. Even though majority of cosmetic products uses small amounts of parabens, Europe finds it not safe to use. In the United States its legal to use. That seems questionable.
They do sale condoms that are considered to be natural condoms and that do not contain harmful ingredients.
Fun Fact: lidocaine and benzocaine aren’t required to be labeled on condom packaging.
